News: AMC Releases First Look & Premiere Date of Lodge 49!

After literally checking everyday for months, AMC have finally released the first look at Wyatt as Sean “Dud” Dudley  in his upcoming show Lodge 49!

AMC has its summer premiere dates for Season 4 of Better Call Saul and its new series Lodge 49. The cable net today set a 9 PM August 6 premiere date for its Emmy-nominated Breaking Bad spinoff, to be followed at 10 PM by the launch of its lighthearted “modern fable” starring Wyatt Russell and Brent Jennings. A lighthearted, endearing modern fable set in Long Beach, CA, about a disarmingly optimistic local ex-surfer, Dud (Russell), who’s drifting after the death of his father and collapse of the family business. Dud serendipitously finds himself on the doorstep of a rundown fraternal lodge, where a middle-aged plumbing salesman and “Luminous Knight” of the order, Ernie (Jennings), welcomes him into a world of cheap beer, easy camaraderie and the promise of Alchemical mysteries that may — or may not — put Dud on the path to recover the idyllic life he’s lost. Pasquesi will portray Blaise St. John, the resident philosopher of the Lynx. He tends bar at Lodge 49 and runs his own pot dispensary. Kramer plays Scott Mills, Long Beach Port Harbor Patrol officer and straight shooter, who enjoys his personal watercraft and playing drums in a surf rock cover band. “Lodge 49” is slated to air in 2018.

News: Wyatt Russell to Star in AMC Drama ‘Lodge 49’

AMC has found its next leading man.

Wyatt Russell has been tapped to star in the cabler’s upcoming drama Lodge 49, it was announced Thursday.

Exec produced by Paul Giamatti, the project is described as a modern fable set in Long Beach, Calif. At the center is Dud (Russell), a deadbeat but charming ex-surfer who joins a fraternal order hoping to reclaim the simple, happy lifestyle he lost when his father died. Through the lodge and his newfound connection with the other members, Dud discovers the missing sense of purpose in his life and confronts his deepest fears and greatest hopes.

“Dud is a layered, complex and fascinating character who embodies hope and futility, comedy and tragedy, and the fragility of life,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV. “Wyatt brings the nuance, warmth and depth to this loveable and iconic character, and we’re thrilled to have him.” [Source]
